करिष्यसि महाराज तन्मे कथय सांप्रतम् । सुबाहुरुवाच । वासुदेवाभिधानं यत्पूर्वमुक्तं हि ब्राह्मणैः

kariṣyasi mahārāja tanme kathaya sāṃpratam | subāhuruvāca | vāsudevābhidhānaṃ yatpūrvamuktaṃ hi brāhmaṇaiḥ

«Ô grand roi, dis-moi maintenant ce que tu feras.» Sūbāhu dit : «Cette appellation “Vāsudeva” a bien été prononcée autrefois par les brāhmaṇas.»
