Yayāti, Yadu’s Refusal, and the Merit of the Mother–Father Tīrtha

मातृघाते महादोषः कथितो वेदपंडितैः । तस्माद्घातं महाराज एतयोर्न करोम्यहम्

mātṛghāte mahādoṣaḥ kathito vedapaṃḍitaiḥ | tasmādghātaṃ mahārāja etayorna karomyaham

Les sages versés dans les Vedas ont déclaré que tuer sa mère est une faute très grave. C’est pourquoi, ô grand roi, je ne ferai pas périr ces deux-là.
