Not explicitly identifiable from the single verse (context needed from surrounding verses of Bhūmi-khaṇḍa 66).

Concept: Bhāva (inner disposition) is the universal cause; mental purification is superior to external cleansing.

Application: Prioritize inner work: truthfulness, compassion, japa, self-observation, and repentance; treat ritual baths, fasts, and pilgrimages as supports—not substitutes—for mind-purification.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A pilgrim stands at the steps of a sacred river with water dripping from his hands, yet his chest glows with a brighter inner light as he turns inward in meditation. Around him, ritual objects—water pot, ash, sandal paste—fade into the background while a luminous lotus blooms at the heart, signifying citta-śuddhi beyond external washing.","primary_figures":["seeker/pilgrim","personified Inner Mind as a lotus-heart glow","optional faint Vishnu presence as blue radiance"],"setting":"river ghat with stone steps, small shrine, and banyan tree; ritual items placed nearby","lighting_mood":"golden dawn","color_palette":["saffron","river-silver","sky blue","lotus pink","antique gold"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: a river ghat scene with a devotee holding a kamaṇḍalu, gold-leaf radiance emanating from a lotus at his heart, external ritual items rendered but subdued, a faint Vishnu aura above the shrine arch, rich reds and greens with heavy gold embellishment emphasizing inner light over outer water.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: dawn at a quiet ghat, delicate ripples and mist, the seeker seated in meditation with a subtle painted glow at the heart, minimalistic ritual objects, cool blues and soft pinks, lyrical naturalism conveying inward turn.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlined devotee on stylized steps, concentric halo-lotus at the chest, simplified river bands, warm pigment palette, temple-wall composition with emphasis on citta-śodhana message.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: ghat transformed into a symbolic lotus field, central devotee with heart-lotus motif, ornate floral borders, deep indigo background with gold highlights, small Vishnu emblem above, peacocks and lotuses arranged symmetrically to suggest inner order."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"meditative","suggested_raga":"Bhupali","pace":"slow-meditative","voice_tone":"reverent-soft","sound_elements":["flowing water","soft conch","temple bells","morning birds"]}

Sandhi Resolution Notes:

FAQs

It prioritizes citta-śuddhi (purification of the mind) and teaches that inner disposition (bhāva) is the real cause behind spiritual and ethical outcomes, not merely outward cleansing or ritual.

It does not necessarily reject them, but it relativizes them: without inner purification and right intention, external purifications alone are of limited value.

Cultivate sincerity, self-discipline, and inner clarity; moral and spiritual progress depends primarily on one’s mindset and intentions rather than appearances or formalities.
