तस्या लावण्यभावेन मन्मथस्य शराहतः । आकुलव्याकुलज्ञान ऋषिपुत्रो द्विजोत्तमः

tasyā lāvaṇyabhāvena manmathasya śarāhataḥ | ākulavyākulajñāna ṛṣiputro dvijottamaḥ

Par l’éclat et la beauté d’elle, il fut frappé par la flèche de Kāma. Le brāhmaṇa d’élite, fils d’un ṛṣi, devint tout troublé, l’esprit et l’intelligence bouleversés.
