Concept: Devotional, sequential listening to the five khaṇḍas yields merit equal to sahasra-go-pradāna, elevating śravaṇa as a supreme, accessible dharma.

Application: If large charity is impossible, commit to consistent śravaṇa/reading in sequence and pair it with modest dāna; cultivate bhakti (intention) as the multiplier of action.

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A devotee sits among a gathered audience as five luminous ‘khaṇḍa’ lamps are lit one by one, symbolizing sequential hearing. In a parallel vignette, a thousand cows appear as a shimmering, symbolic procession—transmuted into light that flows into the listener’s heart, showing merit born from devotion rather than wealth.","primary_figures":["devotee listener","kathāvācaka","symbolic cows (as luminous forms)","Vishnu (subtle blessing presence)"],"setting":"temple courtyard satsang with oil lamps arranged in five clusters, manuscript stand, and a distant goshālā suggested as a symbolic overlay","lighting_mood":"golden dawn","color_palette":["ghee-lamp gold","cowhide cream","vermillion","peacock blue","leaf green"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: temple courtyard with a kathāvācaka and a devotee; five ornate lamps labeled as khaṇḍas glowing; above, a stylized procession of radiant cows rendered with gold leaf, merging into a halo around the listener; rich reds/greens, embossed gold, jeweled lampstands and shrine ornaments.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: dawn satsang with soft light; five small lamp clusters in the foreground; a dreamy, translucent herd of cows in the sky as symbolic merit; delicate brushwork, cool blues with warm lamp highlights, refined expressions of devotion.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: strong outlined figures and five lamp motifs; symbolic cows as repeating decorative forms; warm yellow-red palette, temple-wall composition, Vishnu emblems (śaṅkha-cakra) hovering above as blessing.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: symmetrical five-lamp mandala around a central Vishnu shrine; borders filled with cows, lotuses, and creepers; deep blue background with gold highlights, intricate floral patterns, devotional atmosphere of merit and grace."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"celebratory","suggested_raga":"Durga","pace":"moderate-narrative","voice_tone":"reverent-soft","sound_elements":["temple bells (bright)","conch shell (opening/closing)","mridanga gentle rhythm","audience chorus response","cowbells faint (symbolic)"]}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: पंचखंडान्यनुक्रमात् = पंचखण्डानि + अनुक्रमात् (sandhi: i+a→ya). Compounds: पञ्च-खण्ड (द्विगु), गो-प्रदान-सहस्र (तत्पुरुष).

FAQs
