FAQs

It highlights that the spiritual potency of a tithi can be intensified by specific Jyotiṣa conditions—here, the Moon’s fullness and its conjunction with Jupiter in Maghā—making that day especially meritorious for dharmic acts.

By indicating auspicious timing, it supports bhakti-practice indirectly: devotees can align pūjā, japa, dāna, and vrata with high-efficacy calendrical moments to deepen steadiness (niyama) and devotional focus.

Jyotiṣa Vedāṅga: using nakṣatra (Maghā), tithi, and planetary conjunction (Guru–Chandra saṃyoga) to assess a day’s religious and ritual significance.
