Mohinī-prashna
The Question about Mohinī
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in the Ekadashi/Hari-vāsara context)
Vrata: Ekadashi (Hari-vāsara)
Primary Rasa: bhayanaka
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It emphasizes Ekādaśī (Hari-vāsara) as a sacred observance where abstaining from food is a direct act of reverence to Hari, and it warns that disregarding Purāṇic dharma leads to severe karmic decline.
Bhakti is expressed here as disciplined obedience to Hari’s day—fasting/restraint becomes a devotional offering, showing that love for Vishnu is practiced through vrata and self-control.
Kalpa (ritual discipline) is implied: the verse gives a clear vrata-rule (do not eat on Hari-vāsara/Ekādaśī) and frames it as a binding injunction within Purāṇic ritual conduct.
