Mohinī’s Speech
Mohinyāḥ Bhāṣaṇam
Narada (instructional narration in Uttara-Bhaga context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: karuna
It teaches that dharma is not mere personal busyness; sustained harmony requires seva (care) toward dependents and dana (right giving). Neglect causes both relationships and prosperity to decline.
It implies that genuine bhakti expresses itself as compassionate conduct—service, responsibility, and generosity—rather than self-absorbed activity that ignores others’ wellbeing.
No specific Vedanga (like Vyakarana or Jyotisha) is taught here; the practical takeaway is Sadachara—proper conduct in the grihastha life, especially seva and dana.
