Adhyaya 56 — The Descent and Fourfold Course of the Ganga; Jambudvipa’s Varshas and Their Conditions
वार्क्षो स्वाभाविकी देश्या तोयोत्था मानसী तथा ।
कर्मजा च नृणां सिद्धर्वर्षेष्वेतेषु चाष्टसु ॥
vārkṣo svābhāvikī deśyā toyotthā mānasī tathā / karmajā ca nṛṇāṃ siddharvarṣeṣv eteṣu cāṣṭasu
Dans ces huit varṣa, les accomplissements (ou modes de plénitude) des humains sont : ceux issus des arbres, ceux naturels (innés), ceux locaux (régionaux), ceux nés de l’eau, ceux mentaux, et aussi ceux nés du karma — (on les trouve) parmi elles dans les varṣa des Siddharvas.
