Adhyaya 35 — Madālasa’s Instruction on Purity, Impurity, and Corrective Rites (Śauca and Aśauca)
तत्कर्तव्यमशङ्केन यन्न गोप्यं महाजने ।
एवमाचरतो वत्स ! पुरुषस्य गृहे सतः ।
धर्मार्थकामसम्प्राप्त्या परत्रेह च शोभनम् ॥
tat kartavyam aśaṅkena yan na gopyaṃ mahājane /
evam ācarato vatsa ! puruṣasya gṛhe sataḥ /
dharmārthakāmasaṃprāptyā paratreha ca śobhanam
Il faut accomplir sans hésitation ce qui n’a pas à être caché au public. Car pour l’homme qui vit en maître de maison et agit ainsi, l’obtention du dharma, de l’artha et du kāma apporte l’auspice et l’honneur ici-bas et dans l’au-delà, cher enfant.
