Adhyaya 26Madālasa Names Alarka and Reorients Him Toward Kshatriya Duty

इत्थं तया स तनयो जन्मप्रभृति बोधितः ।

चकार न मतिं प्राज्ञो गार्हस्थ्यं प्रति निर्ममः ॥

itthaṃ tayā sa tanayo janmaprabhṛti bodhitaḥ / cakāra na matiṃ prājño gārhasthyaṃ prati nirmamaḥ

Ainsi instruit par elle dès la naissance, ce fils sage—délivré de l’esprit de possession—ne porta pas son esprit vers la vie de maître de maison (gṛhastha).
