Adhyaya 22 — Kuvalayashva’s Death through Daitya-Deceit and Madalasa’s Self-Immolation
युध्यमानो यथाशक्ति निघ्नन् ब्रह्मद्विषो युधि ।
मायामाश्रित्य पापेन भिन्नः शूलेन वक्षसी ॥
yudhyamāno yathāśakti nighnan brahmadviṣo yudhi | māyāmāśritya pāpena bhinnaḥ śūlena vakṣasī ||
Combattant de toute sa puissance, il abattait au combat ceux qui haïssent Brahman (c’est‑à‑dire l’ordre brahmanique et la loi sacrée) ; mais ce pécheur, recourant à la māyā, lui perça la poitrine d’un trident.
