Chapter 58: Arjuna’s Deployment of the Indra-Weapon
दीर्घबाहुर्महातेजा बलरूपसमन्वित: । सर्वलोकेषु विक्रान्तो भारद्वाज: प्रतापवान्
arjuna uvāca |
dīrghabāhur mahātejā balarūpasamanvitaḥ |
sarvalokeṣu vikrānto bhāradvājaḥ pratāpavān |
Arjuna dit : « Aux longs bras, rayonnant d’un grand éclat, pourvu de force et de noble prestance, célèbre pour sa prouesse à travers les mondes : tel est le puissant Bhāradvāja (Droṇa), héros d’une vaillance redoutable. » Dans l’éthique de l’épopée, les paroles d’Arjuna reconnaissent l’excellence et l’autorité martiale même chez l’adversaire, reflétant l’idéal kṣatriya : honorer le mérite et la puissance tout en se préparant aux exigences du conflit.
