Chapter 55
शयव्रातै: सुतीक्ष्णाग्रै: समादिष्टै: खगैरिव । अर्जुनस्तु खमावत्रे लोहितप्राशनै: खगै:
śayavrātaiḥ sutīkṣṇāgraiḥ samādiṣṭaiḥ khagair iva | arjunas tu kham āvṛtya lohitaprāśanaiḥ khagaiḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : Par des volées de flèches—au fer rasoir et lancées en ordre—Arjuna couvrit le ciel comme s’il fût rempli d’oiseaux ; ces flèches, pareilles à des créatures ailées parcourant l’air et buvant le sang, assombrirent toute l’étendue au‑dessus.
