Virāṭa-parva Adhyāya 22 — Draupadī’s Abduction Attempt and Bhīma’s Suppression of the Kīcakas
तलाभ्यां स तु भीमेन वक्षस्यभिहतो बली । कीचको रोषसंतप्त: पदान्न चलित: पदम्
talābhyāṃ sa tu bhīmena vakṣasy abhihato balī | kīcako roṣa-saṃtaptaḥ padān na calitaḥ padam ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : Alors le puissant Kīcaka fut frappé à la poitrine par Bhīma, des deux paumes ouvertes. Le coup porta, et Kīcaka s’embrasa de colère ; pourtant il ne bougea pas d’un seul pas de l’endroit où il se tenait—révélant à la fois son orgueil de force et l’arrogance grandissante qui, bientôt, appellera la rétribution.
