युधिष्ठिरस्य अर्जुनप्रेषण-युक्तिवर्णनम् | Yudhiṣṭhira’s Rationale for Sending Arjuna and Request to Dhaumya
उपस्पृश्य च वै विद्यां यत्र तत्रोपपद्यते । महाश्रमे वसेद् रात्रिं सर्वपापप्रमोचने
upaspṛśya ca vai vidyāṃ yatra tatrōpapadyate | mahāśrame vased rātriṃ sarvapāpapramocane ||
Après avoir accompli le rite purificateur en touchant l’eau et avoir reçu comme il se doit le savoir sacré, l’homme devient apte à ce savoir où qu’il se trouve. Qu’il passe la nuit dans le grand ermitage, dont on dit qu’il délivre de tous les péchés, afin que l’étude s’accorde à la pureté et à la discipline.
