Ghūlastya dit : «Du lac de Pitāmaha s’écoule un puissant courant qui purifie les mondes. Ce même flot, célèbre dans les trois mondes, est honoré du nom de Kumāradhārā.»
घुलस्त्य उवाच
The verse emphasizes tīrtha-mahātmyā: certain sacred waters are understood as cosmically purifying, and remembrance or contact with them is framed as a means of inner cleansing and moral renewal (lokapāvanī), aligning the individual with a wider sacred order.
The speaker (Ghūlastya) is describing a revered sacred site: the lake associated with Pitāmaha, from which a famous stream called Kumāradhārā flows. The description situates the place as renowned throughout the three worlds, underscoring its exceptional sanctity.
