युधिछिर उवाच देवदेवो मया दृष्टो भवान् साक्षात् सनातन: । य॑ं ददासि वर तुष्टस्तं ग्रहीष्याम्यहं पित:
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca devadevo mayā dṛṣṭo bhavān sākṣāt sanātanaḥ | yaṁ dadāsi vara tuṣṭas taṁ grahīṣyāmy ahaṁ pitaḥ ||
Yudhiṣṭhira dit : «Ô Père, je t’ai vu de mes propres yeux — l’Éternel, le Dieu des dieux. Quel que soit le don que, satisfait, tu choisiras de m’accorder, je l’accepterai avec vénération.»

The verse models dharmic humility and devotion: even when offered a boon, Yudhiṣṭhira first acknowledges the divine presence and submits his will respectfully, showing that gifts should be received with reverence rather than entitlement.
Yudhiṣṭhira speaks to a revered father-figure who is also revealed as a supreme divine being. Having obtained direct darśana, he declares that he will accept whatever boon is granted, indicating a moment of divine encounter and forthcoming bestowal.
