यद् वः संकल्पितं रूपं मनसा यस्य यादृशम् | तादृशं तादृशं सर्वे छन््दतो धारयिष्यथ,“तथा तुममेंसे जो-जो मनसे जैसा संकल्प करेगा, वह इच्छानुसार वैसा-वैसा ही रूप धारण कर सकेगा
yad vaḥ saṅkalpitaṃ rūpaṃ manasā yasya yādṛśam | tādṛśaṃ tādṛśaṃ sarve chandato dhārayiṣyatha ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : «Quelle que soit la forme que chacun de vous conçoit en son esprit—quelle qu’elle soit—chacun pourra prendre exactement cette forme, selon son désir.»
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the potency of saṅkalpa (mental resolve): when a boon or power is granted, the mind’s intention becomes the determining cause for the form one can manifest—emphasizing disciplined will and purposeful choice.
In Vaiśampāyana’s narration, a boon-like assurance is being given to a group: each person will be able to take on whatever form they mentally conceive, according to their own desire.
