एवमुक्तस्तदा भीमो यक्षेणामिततेजसा । अनुक्त्वैव तु तान् प्रश्नान् पीत्वैव निपपात ह,अमिततेजस्वी यक्षके ऐसा कहनेपर भी भीमसेन उन प्रश्नोंका उत्तर दिये बिना ही जल पीने लगे और पीते ही मूर्च्छिंत होकर गिर पड़े
evamuktas tadā bhīmo yakṣeṇāmitatejasā | anuktvaiva tu tān praśnān pītvāiva nipapāta ha ||
Ainsi interpellé par le Yakṣa à l’éclat sans mesure, Bhīma — sans répondre à ces questions — but pourtant l’eau ; et dès qu’il eut bu, il s’effondra, privé de sens.
