Draupadī and Satyabhāmā on ethical household conduct
The verse underscores that Vedic sacrificial duties (nitya-havis in Cāturmāsya rites) are grounded in an ordered, named structure—Agraha as the ‘source’ of oblations—and that ritual elements are classified through traditional genealogies (Bhānu’s lineage). This frames ritual observance as a disciplined expression of dharma sustaining order.
Mārkaṇḍeya is explaining a ritual-cosmological genealogy: Agraha is identified as the origin/source connected with the obligatory oblations in Cāturmāsya sacrifices, and Stubha is also placed in Bhānu’s lineage. Along with four earlier sons, these are counted among Bhānu’s offspring.
