कृतयुगवर्णनम् तथा राजधर्मोपदेशः

केचिन्नीलोत्पलश्यामा: केचित् कुमुदसंनि भा: । केचित् किज्जल्कसंकाशा: केचित् पीता: पयोधरा:
ke cin nīlotpalaśyāmāḥ kecit kumudasaṃnibhāḥ | kecit kiñjalkasaṃkāśāḥ kecit pītāḥ payodharāḥ ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana dit : «Certains nuages sont sombres comme les lotus bleus ; d’autres, blancs comme la fleur kumuda. Les uns ont la teinte du pollen, tandis que d’autres—porteurs des eaux—paraissent jaunes.»
