प्रावृट्-शरत्-वर्णनम् — Description of the Monsoon and Autumn; Sarasvatī in the Pāṇḍavas’ Exile
स ददर्श शुभान् देशान् गिरेहिमवतस्तदा देवर्षिसिद्धचरितानप्सरोगणसेवितान्
sa dadarśa śubhān deśān gireḥ himavataḥ tadā devarṣi-siddha-caritān apsaro-gaṇa-sevitān
Vaiśampāyana dit : Alors il contempla les régions auspiciennes de l’Himālaya — des terres fréquentées par les rishis divins et les siddhas accomplis, et sans cesse embellies par des troupes d’Apsaras.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical power of sacred environments: places associated with tapas and perfected beings are portrayed as naturally auspicious, encouraging purity of mind and conduct in those who approach them.
The narrator describes the protagonist’s journeying vision: he observes the holy Himalayan regions, depicted as the dwelling and resort of devarṣis, siddhas, and apsarases.
