Cyavana’s Reconciliation with Indra; Tīrtha-Indexing at Ārcīka-parvata and Yamunā
Chapter 125
As a colophon, the line primarily teaches how the Mahābhārata frames ethical instruction: exemplary stories (like Sukanyā’s) are embedded within the larger discipline of tīrthayātrā, suggesting that dharma is learned through both sacred travel and reflective listening to instructive narratives.
This is not a spoken verse of plot but an editorial/narrative closure: it announces that the chapter dealing with the Sukanyā episode—told in the context of pilgrimage within the Vana Parva’s Tīrthayātrā section—has concluded.
