अध्याय ८ — शल्यस्य सत्कारः, वरदानं, पाण्डवसमागमश्च (Śalya’s Reception, the Boon, and Meeting the Pāṇḍavas)
आजगाम सभामन्यां देवावसथवर्चसम् | स तत्र विषयैर्युक्त: कल्याणैरतिमानुषै:
ājagāma sabhām anyāṃ devāvasathavarcasaṃ | sa tatra viṣayair yuktaḥ kalyāṇair atimānuṣaiḥ ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana dit : Il se rendit ensuite dans une autre salle d’assemblée, rayonnante comme la demeure des dieux. Là, il la trouva pourvue d’aménagements splendides—auspicieux, raffinés, et dépassant l’ouvrage humain ordinaire—signe d’ordre royal, de prospérité et d’une puissance policée qui prépare les décisions d’État à venir.
