Drupada’s Instruction to the Purohita for the Kaurava Embassy (द्रुपदोपदेशः दूतप्रेषणम्)
स भवान् धर्मयुक्तश्न धर्म्य तेषु समाचरन्
sa bhavān dharmayuktaś ca dharmyaṃ teṣu samācaran | vibhetsyati manāṃsy eṣām iti me nātra saṃśayaḥ ||
Drupada dit : «Tu es fermement établi dans le dharma ; et, te conduisant parmi eux selon la droiture, tu ébranleras à coup sûr leurs cœurs — je n’en doute pas. Devant les anciens compatissants de la maison des Kuru, expose la loi de la lignée telle que l’ont pratiquée leurs pères, et décris les épreuves endurées par les Pāṇḍava. Ainsi détourneras-tu leurs esprits du parti de Duryodhana ; je n’ai là aucune incertitude.»
