स एव भक्त: स गुरु: स भर्ता सवैपिता सच माता सुद्ृच्च । अगाधबुद्धि्विंदुरो दीर्घदर्शी स नो मन्त्री कुशलं तं सम पृच्छे:

Transliteration

sa eva bhaktaḥ sa guruḥ sa bhartā saiva pitā sa ca mātā sudṛḍhaḥ | agādhabuddhir vinduro dīrghadarśī sa no mantrī kuśalaṃ taṃ sama pṛccheḥ ||

Translation

Yudhiṣṭhira dit : «Lui seul est le véritable dévot ; lui seul est le maître ; lui seul est le protecteur et le soutien ; il est comme un père et aussi comme une mère—ferme et digne de confiance. D’une intelligence profonde, clairvoyant et prévoyant, il est notre conseiller. Demande-lui, avec le respect qui lui est dû, ce qui est salutaire et profitable pour nous.»
