भूमौ सर्वे तदा राजन् भस्म भूता: प्रपेदिरे । राजन! वे सभी बाण अपने ही संघर्षसे उत्पन्न हुई अग्निसे जलकर भस्म हो गये और भूमिपर गिर पड़े
bhūmau sarve tadā rājan bhasma-bhūtāḥ prapedire |
Bhīṣma dit : «Ô Roi, alors tous, réduits en cendres, tombèrent sur le sol.» Ces flèches furent consumées par le feu né de leur propre affrontement, devinrent cendre, puis s’abattirent sur la terre.
