गालवस्य विषादः तथा विष्णुप्रयाणम्
Gālava’s Despair and Resolve to Seek Viṣṇu
अथ वर्षशते पूर्णे धर्म: पुनरुपागमत् । वासिष्ठ॑ वेषमास्थाय कौशिकं भोजनेप्सया,तदनन्तर सौ वर्ष पूर्ण होनेपर पुनः धर्मदेव वसिष्ठ मुनिका वेष धारण करके भोजनकी इच्छासे विश्वामित्र मुनिके पास आये
atha varṣaśate pūrṇe dharmaḥ punar upāgamat | vāsiṣṭhaṃ veṣam āsthāya kauśikaṃ bhojanecchayā ||
Quand cent années furent pleinement écoulées, Dharma revint encore. Revêtant l’apparence de Vasiṣṭha, il s’approcha de Kauśika (Viśvāmitra), poussé par le désir de nourriture, afin d’éprouver la constance du sage et la vigueur morale de sa conduite au cœur d’une longue épreuve.
