कटके कुण्डले चैव ब्रह्मुसूत्रं तथा परम्
kaṭake kuṇḍale caiva brahmasūtraṃ tathā param | kaḍe kuṇḍala yajñopavīta vicitra-vastraṃ viśeṣataḥ gandham arpitvā vācakasya devatā-samāṃ pūjāṃ kuryāt | evaṃ-kārī śrotā bhagavato viṣṇoḥ loke gacchati ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : « En offrant bracelets et boucles d’oreilles, ainsi que le cordon sacré (yajñopavīta), avec des ornements, des vêtements fins et chamarrés, et surtout des substances parfumées, on doit honorer le récitant comme on vénère une divinité. L’auditeur qui agit ainsi atteint le monde du Seigneur Viṣṇu. »
