पुरन्दरपुरे रम्ये शक्रेण सह मोदते । इस प्रकार बहुत वर्षोतक वह स्वर्गलोकमें सम्मानपूर्वक रहता है। तदनन्तर इक््कीस हजार वर्षोतक गन्धर्वोंके साथ इन्द्रकी रमणीय नगरीमें रहकर देवेन्द्रके साथ ही वहाँका सुख भोगता है

Vaiśampāyana dit : Dans la délicieuse cité de Purandara (Indra), il se réjouit avec Śakra. Ainsi demeure-t-il de longues années dans le monde céleste avec honneur ; puis, durant vingt et un mille ans, il reste dans la charmante ville d’Indra en compagnie des Gandharvas, goûtant la félicité divine auprès du seigneur des dieux.
