तेषां श्रुत्वा प्रतिष्ठानं नामकर्मानुकीर्तनात्‌ । कृत्वापि पातकं घोरं सद्यो मुच्येत मानव:

teṣāṃ śrutvā pratiṣṭhānaṃ nāma-karmānukīrtanāt | kṛtvāpi pātakaṃ ghoraṃ sadyo mucyeta mānavaḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana dit : En entendant parler de leur rang éminent, et en récitant régulièrement leurs noms et leurs actions, un homme—fût-il coupable d’un péché effroyable—peut en être délivré sur-le-champ.
