Discourse on Wealth and Royal Duty
धर्म संहरते तस्य धनं हरति यस्य सः । हियमाणे धने राजन् वयं कस्य क्षमेमहि
dharmaṁ saṁharate tasya dhanaṁ harati yasya saḥ | hīyamāṇe dhane rājan vayaṁ kasya kṣamemahi |
Arjuna dit : «Celui qui s’empare de la richesse d’un homme détruit aussi le dharma de cet homme ; car la subsistance et la conduite juste sont soutenues par ses propres moyens. Ô Roi, si l’on nous dépouille de nos biens, qui pourrions-nous pardonner—et comment pourrait-on attendre de nous le pardon ?»
