Daṇḍanīti and the King as the Cause of Yuga-Order (दण्डनीतिः राजधर्मश्च युगकारणत्वम्)
न्यसेत गुल्मान् दुर्गेषु सनधौ च कुरुनन्दन । नगरोपवने चैव पुरोद्यानेषु चैव ह,कुरुनन्दन! राजाको किलोंमें, राज्यकी सीमापर तथा नगर और गाँवके बगीचोंमें सेना रखनी चाहिये
nyaset gulmān durgeṣu sanadhau ca kurunandana | nagaropavane caiva purodyāneṣu caiva ha ||
Bhīṣma dit : «Ô joie des Kuru, le roi doit poster des détachements dans les forteresses et aux approches des frontières, et aussi dans les jardins de la cité ainsi que dans les parcs de plaisance royaux.»
