Chapter 57: Constant Royal Vigilance, Primacy of Protection, and Principles of Dismissal
स्वकर्मनिरता यस्य जना विषयवासिन: । असंघातरता दान्ता: पाल्यमाना यथाविधि
svakarmaniratā yasya janā viṣayavāsinaḥ | asaṅghātaratā dāntāḥ pālyamānā yathāvidhi ||
Bhīṣma dit : Est vraiment excellent le roi dans le royaume duquel le peuple, tout en vivant au milieu des affaires du monde, est dûment protégé et entretenu selon la règle ; il demeure attaché à ses devoirs propres, sans s’agripper au corps ni à ses plaisirs, et se maîtrise—vivant dans la discipline et l’ordre.
