Śara-śayyā-sthita-bhīṣma-saṃvāda-prastāvaḥ
The Prelude to Questioning Bhīṣma on the Bed of Arrows
यश्नैतेन प्रमाणेन योक्ष्यत्यात्मानमात्मना । स फल सर्वपुण्यानां प्रेत्य चानुभविष्यति
yad etena pramāṇena yokṣyaty ātmānam ātmanā | sa phalaṃ sarvapuṇyānāṃ pretya cānubhaviṣyati ||
Vāyu dit : Quiconque, prenant cet enseignement pour règle d’autorité, discipline et attelle son propre être par son effort intérieur—celui-là, après la mort, goûtera le fruit de tous les mérites, comme s’il avait amassé toute forme de droiture.
