tasyābhigamanaprāptī hastau dattau vivasvatā | tenāpi dakṣiṇo hasto dattaḥ pratyarcitārthinā ||
Lorsqu’il s’approcha, Vivasvat (le dieu Soleil) tendit ses deux mains pour l’accueillir. L’autre, voulant rendre cet honneur, offrit à son tour sa main droite en salut respectueux.
