हुताहुतिरिव ज्योतिर्वष्याप्प तेजोमरीचिभि: । ओनिर्देश्येन रूपेण द्वितीय इव भास्कर:
hutāhutir iva jyotir vṛṣyāpt tejo-marīcibhiḥ | anirdeśyena rūpeṇa dvitīya iva bhāskaraḥ ||
Tel le feu sacrificiel tout juste attisé par les oblations, il s’embrasa. De ses rayons éclatants il semblait emplir toute la sphère de lumière ; et—d’une forme inexprimable—il brillait comme un second soleil.
नाग उवाच
The verse uses sacrificial imagery to convey that inner power or sanctified presence can become visibly transformative—radiance arising from disciplined, dharmic action (like offerings into fire) culminates in an awe-inspiring, almost indescribable brilliance.
A Nāga describes a figure (or presence) appearing with extraordinary luminosity: as if a fire flares up when fed with oblations, the being’s rays spread everywhere, shining like a second sun and surpassing ordinary description.
