न नृत्यगीतशीलेषु हासकेषु च धार्मिक: । न मत्ते चैव नोन्मत्ते न स्तेने न च कुत्सके
Transliteration
na nṛtyagītaśīleṣu hāsakeṣu ca dhārmikaḥ | na matte caiva nonmatte na stene na ca kutsake
Translation
Vyāsa dit : «L’homme véritablement juste ne prend pas plaisir à la compagnie de ceux qui s’adonnent à la danse et au chant, ni à celle des bouffons et des amuseurs frivoles. Il ne fréquente ni l’ivrogne ni le dément, ni le voleur, ni l’être vil et méprisable ; il évite de tels compagnons pour sauvegarder le dharma et la droiture du caractère.»
