Sūrya–Nāga Dialogue on the Perfected Gleaner-Ascetic
Sustained meditation (anudhyāna) on the Lord leads to direct experiential vision of the divine form; the verse also emphasizes the reliability of divine assurance—true contemplation yields a true result.
Vaiśaṃpāyana reports a promise addressed to a sage: if the sage continually contemplates the Lord, he will see the beginningless, endless deity in the recognizable Viṣṇu form holding the discus, and this promise will not fail.
