परस्परविनाशार्थ त्वामृते द्विजसत्तम । द्विजश्रेष्ठ उनमेंसे जो लोग तुम्हारी संतानोंके वंशज होंगे, उनमें परस्पर विनाशके लिये फूट हो जायगी। तुम्हारे सहयोगके बिना उनमें विग्रह होगा

Transliteration

parasparavināśārtha tvāmṛte dvijasattama | dvijaśreṣṭha

Translation

Vaiśampāyana dit : « Ô le meilleur des brahmanes, sans toi naîtra une rupture parmi ceux qui seront les descendants de tes enfants, et cette division conduira à leur destruction réciproque. Privés de ton appui et de ta direction, ils tomberont dans la discorde. »
