Āścarya-kathana: Brāhmaṇa–Nāga Dialogue on Sūrya (Vivasvat) and the ‘Second Sun’ Phenomenon

Educational Q&A

Creation is presented as a purposeful, conscious act: Nārāyaṇa, as supreme Lord, wills and conceives the agency of cosmic creation, emphasizing divine sovereignty and intentional order rather than randomness.

Vaiśampāyana narrates that Hari-Nārāyaṇa, desiring to create the universe, turns His mind toward (contemplates) a supreme Puruṣa—an empowered Lord capable of bringing forth the world’s creation.
