धर्मस्य बहुद्वारत्वम् — Nārada’s Audience with Indra (Śānti-parva 340)

स सहस्ारार्चिषं देवं प्रविशेन्नात्र संशय: । जो मनुष्य प्रतिदिन इसका पाठ करेगा और जो इसे सदा सुनेगा

sa sahasrārcīṣaṃ devaṃ praviśen nātra saṃśayaḥ | yo manuṣyaḥ pratidinam asyāḥ kathāyāḥ pāṭhaṃ kariṣyati yaś ca enāṃ sadā śroṣyati sa bhagavati ananyabhāvaṃ prāpya tad-ananya-bhakteṣu ekāgracittena anuraktaḥ śveta-nāmakaṃ mahādvīpaṃ prāpsyati | sa ca manuṣyaḥ candramā iva kāntimān rūpaṃ dhārayitvā teṣu sahasra-kiraṇeṣu bhagavati nārāyaṇa-deve praviśati, atra saṃśayo na vidyate | mucyed ārtaḥ tathā rogāc chrutvemām āditaḥ kathām ||

Bhīṣma dit : «Il entrera dans le Seigneur divin aux mille rayons ; il n’y a là aucun doute. Quiconque récite chaque jour ce récit, et quiconque l’écoute sans cesse, obtient une dévotion exclusive envers Dieu ; l’esprit unifié, attaché parmi Ses dévots d’un seul élan, il parvient au grand continent nommé Śveta. Revêtant une forme éclatante comme la lune, cet être entre dans le Seigneur Nārāyaṇa aux mille rayons : il n’y a là nulle incertitude. Et celui qui est accablé est délivré, et de même de la maladie, en entendant ce récit sacré des temps anciens.»
