आलोकयजुत्तरपश्चिमेन ददर्श चाप्यद्धुतमुक्तरूपम् । मेरुके शिखरपर एकान्त स्थानमें जाकर नारद मुनिने दो घड़ीतक विश्राम किया। फिर वहाँसे उत्तर-पश्चिमकी ओर दृष्टिपात करनेपर उन्होंने पूर्व-वर्णित एक अद्भुत दृश्य देखा

Nārada dit : Portant son regard vers le nord-ouest, il aperçut un spectacle merveilleux, exactement comme on l’avait décrit. S’étant rendu en un lieu solitaire au sommet du mont Meru, le sage s’y reposa un court moment ; puis, de là, en regardant au loin, il vit une vision extraordinaire—comme si le retrait discipliné et l’attention du regard pouvaient dévoiler des vérités cachées aux yeux ordinaires.
