पितृयज्ञे नारायणतत्त्वम् — The Nārāyaṇa Grounding of Ancestral Offerings
शब्देनाकाशमखिल पूरयन्निव सर्वशः । तमापतन्तं सहसा दृष्टवा सर्वाप्सरोगणा:
śabdenākāśam akhilaṁ pūrayann iva sarvaśaḥ | tam āpatantaṁ sahasā dṛṣṭvā sarvāpsarogaṇāḥ ||
Comme s’il emplissait de toutes parts le ciel entier du retentissement de son bruit, il fondit soudain vers le bas. Le voyant descendre à l’improviste, toutes les troupes d’Apsaras rassemblées furent saisies d’effroi et d’attention.
शुक उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical-narrative idea that overwhelming power or sudden arrival can disturb even refined beings; it cautions against complacency and underscores the need for steadiness of mind when confronted with unexpected force or change.
Śuka describes a figure descending rapidly with a thunderous sound that seems to fill the whole sky; the hosts of Apsarases notice him at once and react to the sudden, imposing arrival.
