अनामृष्य तत: क्षेपमवैक्षत च पावकिम् | सम्प्रगृह् विशुद्धात्मा शक्ति प्रज्वलितां तदा
anāmṛśya tataḥ kṣepam avaikṣata ca pāvakīm | sampragṛhya viśuddhātmā śaktiṁ prajvalitāṁ tadā ||
Bhishma dit : Sans hésiter, il porta alors son regard vers l’arme flamboyante, pareille au feu. L’esprit pur et stable, il saisit cette śakti tandis qu’elle s’embrasait d’un éclat souverain—se préparant avec une résolution disciplinée plutôt qu’avec une colère irréfléchie.
भीष्म उवाच
Even in moments of conflict, action should arise from a purified, steady mind—marked by restraint and clarity—rather than from hesitation, fear, or uncontrolled passion.
The subject (as described by Bhishma) assesses a blazing, fire-like weapon and, with composed resolve, firmly takes up a flaming spear, preparing for the decisive act of hurling it.
