Adhyāya 325: Nārada in Śvetadvīpa—Stotra to the Nirguṇa Mahātman

छायायामातपे चैव समदर्शी महाद्युति: । तात! वहाँ एक जगह बैठकर महातेजस्वी शुकदेवजी मोक्षका ही चिन्तन करने लगे। धूप हो या छाया, दोनोंमें उनकी समान दृष्टि थी

chāyāyām ātape caiva samadarśī mahādyutiḥ | tāta! tatraika-sthāne upaviśya mahā-tejasvī śukadevaḥ mokṣasyaiva cintanaṃ kartum ārabdhavān | dhūpo vā chāyā vā—ubhayatra tasya samā dṛṣṭiḥ āsīt |

Bhīṣma dit : «À l’ombre comme au soleil, le sage rayonnant demeurait d’un regard égal. Mon enfant, assis en un seul lieu, le grand et lumineux Śukadeva ne tournait son esprit que vers la délivrance (mokṣa). Qu’il fît chaud ou que l’ombre fût fraîche, il considérait l’un et l’autre avec la même vision impartiale.»
