Adhyāya 325: Nārada in Śvetadvīpa—Stotra to the Nirguṇa Mahātman

उद्यानानि च रम्याणि तथैवायतनानि च । पुण्यानि चैव रत्नानि सो>त्यक्रामदथाध्वग:

udyānāni ca ramyāṇi tathaivāyatanāni ca | puṇyāni caiva ratnāni so 'tyakrāmad athādhvagaḥ ||

Bhīṣma dit : Le voyageur passa—sans attachement—devant maints jardins délicieux, ainsi que devant diverses demeures et sanctuaires sacrés. Même lorsque des joyaux précieux et de bon augure gisaient devant lui, il les dédaigna tous et poursuivit sa route. Le vers souligne l’éthique du non-attachement : le sage ne laisse ni le confort, ni le sacré, ni la richesse le détourner de son dessein supérieur.
