Educational Q&A

Spiritual maturity is portrayed as orderly and timely: as desire and anger are relinquished, scriptural understanding and steadfast resolve arise naturally, and one’s disciplined conduct becomes rigorous—often difficult for ordinary people to imitate.

Kapila is describing a class of disciplined practitioners: they have abandoned kāma and krodha, and as a result their lives exhibit demanding ethical and practical disciplines, alongside a progressive awakening of scriptural knowledge and firm intention.
