पापात्म-धर्मात्म-लक्षणम् तथा निर्वेदेन मोक्षमार्गः | Marks of the Sinful and the Righteous; Dispassion (Nirveda) as a Path to Liberation
एवं स गौतम: पुत्र प्रीतिहर्षगुणैर्युत: । अभिनन्द्य महाप्राज्ञ इदे वचनमब्रवीत्,महामते! इस प्रकार प्रेम और हर्षसे भरे हुए गौतमने पुत्रका अभिनन्दन करके यह बात कही--
evaṁ sa gautamaḥ putra prīti-harṣa-guṇair yutaḥ | abhinandya mahāprājña idaṁ vacanam abravīt mahāmate ||
Bhishma dit : Ainsi Gautama, le très sage, rempli des vertus d’affection et de joie, accueillit chaleureusement son fils, puis prononça ces paroles, ô grand d’âme—ouvrant la voie à un enseignement fondé sur la droiture et le discernement.
